Makhteshim Agan Ranked Fourth in
the Corporate Environmental Transparency Index
According to the index of BeyondBusiness Co., Makhteshim Agan registered significant improvement with a score of 78.5% for transparency and rose to 4th place from 74th in 2010.
This improvement reflects our commitment to transparency and sustainability. The index awards high points for the comprehensive corporate responsibility report (“CSR” report), which MAI first published in 2010, and is considered a leading and advanced way to demonstrate transparency.

Makhteshim Agan Wins
the Negev Environmental Award For 2011
On June 2011, Makhteshim Agan won the Negev Environmental Award for the first time, for the development of a process for industrial wastewater desalination at its production site in Ramat Hovav, applying an innovative technology that is the first of its kind in Israel and worldwide.
The process provides a comprehensive solution to industrial wastewater.
Some 60% of the wastewater is reused as benign water in production processes, saving hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of water a year.
