In 1998, Makhteshim Agan Group became a publicly traded company, a union of two industry veterans with vast experience in the manufacture and distribution of crop protection products, Agan (1945) and Makhteshim (established 1952). Today, approximately 40% of the company's shares are held by Koor Industries and the remainder is traded publicly as one of the top ranked on the TASE.
In 2006, Koor Industries came under the extensive umbrella of the IDB Group, Israel’s largest investment concern.
