MA Industries Receives Gold Ranking from Maala-Business for Social Responsibility
 On June 10, the Maala – Business for Social Responsibility organization ("Maala") has published its 2009 Corporate Responsibility Maala Ranking in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Maala, founded in 1998, is a non-profit membership organization whose creation was inspired by the US-based Business for Social Responsibility (BSR).
Makhteshim Agan Industries has been included in Maala's 2009 Rankings and has been given a Gold ranking. The criteria for the Maala Ranking are divided into five main areas within the field of corporate responsibility: human and citizen's rights, business ethics, environmental awareness, community relations and corporate governance. This achievement positions the Company at the same line with other leading companies in the marketplace and reflects on various company parameters and the enormous improvement achieved within the areas of corporate responsibility, community relations, environmental awareness, and treatment of employees.
